Min: 2021 power tariffs for households not to rise above inflation

MOSCOW, Feb 8 (PRIME) -- Electric power tariffs for the households grew in line with inflation in 2020 and will continue to grow no more than inflation in 2021, the Energy Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"Electric power tariffs for the households rose no higher than inflation in 2020. The growth of tariffs is also limited by inflation in 2021," the ministry said.

The ministry also said that the wholesale prices for power rose below inflation in 2020, which gave the industry an opportunity to recover faster amid the pandemic.
